WFact on sexual health is a website created by NHS Wakefield District. It aims to provide information to help young people and people of all ages make safe and informed decisions about sex and sexual health.

The site has been developed to meet the Web Accessibility Initiative 'double-A' standard.

It has been produced in English but the other main languages used in our community are: Urdu, Kurdish, Farsi, Polish, French, Tigrinya, Russian, Czech and Portuguese.

Although we can’t provide this website in every language if you need to know about one of our services in another language we will try to help.

We collect no personal information about you when you visit this website unless you choose to provide information to us. This could be either when you register for the C-Card condom scheme or when you provide feedback about services, but feedback can be given anonymously.

NHS Wakefield District is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. Only authorised employees of NHS Wakefield District and/or authorised employees of services commissioned by NHS Wakefield District will have access to this information. We will not sell, share or rent this information to any other person, or persons or organisation unless permitted to do so by law. Information is stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

There are a number of forms on the site, which either request feedback about a particular service this is to help us to get our services right and make improvements when necessary. In most cases, you are not required to provide us with any personal details. If we do require personal information, the reasons for this will be stated on the form.

Managing our content

We try to make sure all our information is accurate. However, we do not accept any liability for how you use the information; neither do we warrant that the supply of the information will be uninterrupted.

In addition, we try to make sure content on the WFact website isn't offensive to an individual or group, and that content is decent and in good taste. We reserve the right to delete any content we consider offensive to others.

The WFact website contains links to various websites that are operated by third parties – who we have no control over. We therefore do not make any representation - and do not accept any liability - in respect of the content, products or services available from such websites, or the business of such third parties.
