Unhealthy relationships

Unhealthy relationships

Unfortunately not all relationships are positive ones and it’s unhealthy for you to stay in a relationship where there’s abuse. Abuse comes in many forms from violent, threatening or controlling behaviour to disrespect, verbal abuse and emotional blackmail. It’s not a one-off event it’s a cycle and usually gets worse if nothing is done to stop it.

Emotional abuse

This is when someone is trying to control you to the point where you are scared to do something in case it upsets them. They might be checking up on you all the time or won’t let you make your own decisions. They might cut you off from your family/friends or get upset when you talk to other people.
